Welcome to The Cultured Compass LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website (the “Site”), booking any of our services, or purchasing any of our products, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you should not use our Site or services.

1. Use of the Site

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use our Site or book services.

  • License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes.

  • Prohibited Uses: You may not:

    • Use the Site for unlawful purposes.

    • Copy, distribute, or reproduce any Site content without permission.

    • Interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.

2. Services & Offerings

Cultured Compass provides a range of services and products, including but not limited to:

  1. Hosted Collective Trips – group travel experiences with childcare and curated itineraries.

  2. Custom Planning Services – consultation-based services for personalized itineraries.

  3. Standard Travel Advisor Services – flights, hotels, packages, and other supplier bookings.

  4. Digital & Virtual Products – courses, webinars, guides, memberships, and other online offerings.

  5. Future Products & Services – We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any service or product at our discretion.

3. Bookings & Payments

  • Platforms: Bookings may be processed through WeTravel or other designated systems, each with their own Terms & Conditions you must accept at checkout.

  • Credit Card Authorizations: Some bookings (such as flights, hotels, or packages) may require signed credit card authorization forms. By providing payment, you authorize Cultured Compass and its suppliers to charge your card as agreed.

  • Pricing: All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change until confirmed.

  • Responsibility: You are responsible for making payments on time. Late or declined payments may result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposits.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Hosted Trips: Each trip will have its own cancellation and refund terms listed on the trip page. By booking, you agree to those terms.

  • Custom Planning Services: Planning fees are non-refundable once work has begun. Partial refunds prior to work starting may be considered at our discretion.

  • Standard Travel Advisor Services: Supplier terms (airlines, hotels, tours, etc.) govern cancellations and refunds. Cultured Compass is not responsible for amounts non-refundable under supplier policies.

  • Digital Products: Online courses, downloads, and virtual programs are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the product description.

  • Our Right to Cancel: We may cancel or reschedule services due to insufficient enrollment, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our control. Refunds will be issued for amounts we directly control, but we are not responsible for third-party or supplier losses.

5. Client Responsibilities

When booking with Cultured Compass, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete traveler information.

  • Comply with all entry requirements, including passports, visas, health documents, and vaccinations.

  • Obtain travel insurance (strongly recommended).

  • Supervise your children unless they are formally checked into Cultured Compass childcare programs.

  • Use digital products only for personal use; sharing or redistribution is prohibited.

6. Supplier Terms & Independent Conditions

Many travel services are provided by third-party suppliers. Their Terms & Conditions apply in addition to ours, and you may be required to approve them during checkout. These supplier terms may govern refunds, changes, and liability, and in some cases may take precedence.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including itineraries, guides, graphics, text, logos, images, videos, and digital products—is the property of Cultured Compass or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute without prior written permission.

8. User Submissions

If you submit comments, reviews, or feedback through the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce that content. You are solely responsible for your submissions and must not post anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

9. External Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, including booking platforms. Cultured Compass is not responsible for the content, security, or practices of those external sites.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • The Site and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

  • We make no guarantees about availability, accuracy, or suitability of services or Site content.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cultured Compass is not liable for any damages (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) arising from your use of the Site, services, or products.

  • Our liability, if any, is limited to the total amount you paid directly to Cultured Compass for the service in question

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cultured Compass, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our Site, services, or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Jackson County, Oregon.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Effective Date” will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Site or our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
